Days and Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

• Salary Range: $20.40/hr - $22.39/hr dependant on expereince

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with basic level carpentry and light repair work.
• Assist with basic level assignment that Constructs and renovates facilities.
• Maintain work space by cleaning, organizing tools, and painting.
• Grounds keeping to maintain overall appearance of the facility.
• Perform basic level projects as assigned by the Facilities Team Leader
• Other non-essential duties may be assigned as necessary.
• Follow all relevant Quality and / or Environmental standards to which Fair Rite is certified
• Follow all O.S.H.A. standards and the Fair-Rite Safety and Health Policy.

Physical Demands:         

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: stand, walk, use arms and hands to reach and frequent use of ladders.  The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds independently. Physical endurance needed to work in active environment. Visual criteria: must be able to see and distinguish non-conformities in our parts and products, i.e., chips, cracks, pull-outs, etc.

Minimum Education / Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Minimum of 6 months of experience in residential and / or commercial carpentry
• Requires a valid NYS Driver’s License

Preferred Education / Experience Requirements:

• Vocational / Technical Education or Technical Training Certificate 
• Landscaping experience – operating weed whacker, lawn mower, hedge trimmers etc…

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must be able to read and write
• Ability to use hand and power tools
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Basic math skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Ability to operate FMX system
• PC / Computer skills are recommended
• Must be able to drive utility cart
• Must be able to drive a forklift
• Ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Ability to use independent judgment and discretion
• Dependability is extremely important
